1. Information We Collect

  • Local network information used to discover and connect to compatible televisions and smart devices on your Wi-Fi network. Discovery and diagnostics are designed to avoid uploading a full local-network inventory, Wi-Fi passwords, TV account passwords, media content, MAC addresses, serial numbers, or raw network topology to our servers.
  • Device information such as TV brand, model identifiers, and connection type, stored locally to remember your configured devices.
  • Subscription and purchase information, such as product selection, Apple transaction identifiers, subscription order identifiers, and Apple transaction payloads, used to create orders, validate purchases, restore purchases, and unlock Pro access.
  • Device and app information such as iOS version, app version, language, region, timezone, device type, IDFV-derived app identifier, attribution identifiers, and related technical identifiers used for app functionality, entitlement sync, diagnostics, analytics, attribution, and subscription offer measurement.
  • Product interaction and basic app event data used for analytics, attribution, and improving the subscription experience.
  • Limited SDK diagnostic, crash, or other technical data collected by integrated SDKs to support app functionality, analytics, and attribution.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Discover and connect to compatible TVs and smart devices on your local network.
  • Remember your configured devices for faster reconnection.
  • Improve app performance, reliability, and device compatibility.
  • Load subscription products and manage Pro entitlement.
  • Measure install attribution and subscription offer performance.

3. Data Storage and Retention

We do not sell your personal data. Network discovery data and device configuration are primarily stored locally on your device. Subscription and entitlement data is transmitted to our subscription and payment services so the app can create orders, validate Apple transactions, restore purchases, and maintain Pro access. Attribution and analytics data may be processed by the third-party SDK providers described below according to their own policies.

4. Local Network Access

This app requests Local Network access to discover and communicate with compatible devices. We do not monitor your network traffic, read Wi-Fi passwords, collect TV account credentials, or use Local Network access to build and upload a complete inventory of devices on your home network.

5. Tracking and Attribution

Tap TV Remote may request Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. If you allow tracking, the app and integrated SDKs may use advertising identifiers and related device identifiers for install attribution, analytics, third-party advertising measurement, and subscription offer measurement. If you deny tracking, the app remains usable, although attribution and advertising measurement may be limited.

6. Third-Party Services

Tap TV Remote uses Apple services for App Store purchases and may use AppsFlyer and Facebook SDKs for attribution, analytics, diagnostics, and campaign measurement. These providers may process device identifiers, product interaction data, crash or diagnostic data, and other technical data according to their own privacy policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Tap TV Remote is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own services.

8. Your Rights
