1. Overview

Tap TV Remote is an iPhone app for discovering, pairing with, and controlling compatible smart TVs on the same local Wi-Fi network. The app is designed to minimize data collection.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect, sell, or share personal data, Wi-Fi passwords, TV account passwords, media content, analytics data, or a full inventory of your local network through our own backend services.

3. Local Network Access

Tap TV Remote requests Local Network access so it can find and communicate with compatible TVs on your local Wi-Fi network. The app does not use this permission to upload a local-network inventory to our servers.

4. Diagnostics

Diagnostics are designed to show limited status and troubleshooting context. They should not include raw IP addresses, MAC addresses, serial numbers, tokens, Wi-Fi passwords, TV account credentials, or full network topology.

5. Local Storage

Tap TV Remote may store app settings and recently configured device entries locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes its app container subject to iOS behavior.

6. Third-Party Services

Tap TV Remote does not operate a customer data backend. Apple platform services may process technical information necessary for App Store distribution, diagnostics, and operating-system services.

7. Children's Privacy

Tap TV Remote is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own services.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as Tap TV Remote changes. The effective date above shows when this page was last updated.
